Summary

Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Rooms Division team as the Security Supervisor at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans a four diamond, 1,193 room; premier convention hotel with 200,000 sq. ft. of meeting space nestled in the heart of the downtown business district.

The Security Supervisor holds a critical position in upholding a safe environment. They're responsible for overseeing security operations, managing a team of security staff, and ensuring compliance with all security protocols.  This person will respond to guest and employee emergencies, complete incident reports and supervise the security staff in the director's absence. Duties include

• Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
• Coordinate and lead response to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property
• Promote safe work practices.
• Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling and assigning work and delivering recognition and reward.
• Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents and write reports and ensure accuracy of necessary documentation.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Perform duties of a Security Officer, as needed.

Qualifications

• Refined English verbal and written communication skills
• 1-3 years of security/law enforcement experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate/long distances.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
• Diploma or GED; age 21 or older.
• CPR certification preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members; while remain calm in all situations.
