United States Moving System, a nationwide moving company based in NJ, is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our team. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement and supply of materials necessary for our crypto operations. This includes overseeing inventory levels, communicating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of materials for upcoming projects and daily operations.
• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Collaborate with various departments to determine their procurement needs and provide timely guidance on procurement processes.
• Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery of goods, resolving any issues or discrepancies, and enforcing quality control standards.
• Assist in evaluating and selecting suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, delivery times, and ongoing support.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing market trends and optimizing procurement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of the moving or transportation industry is a plus.
