Summary:

Our client, a leader in the production industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Manager join their team. In this role you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive food, health, and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance at all levels. This role is key in cultivating a strong safety culture, reducing risks, and enhancing workplace health standards.

• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Pay: $90K, based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain EHS and Food Safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory guidelines.
• Perform routine safety audits and inspections to verify compliance with health and safety standards.
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to identify underlying causes and implement preventative measures.
• Develop and deliver employee training programs on workplace safety, emergency protocols, first aid, and CPR.
• Work closely with leadership to instill a strong commitment to food safety and overall workplace safety.
• Keep detailed records of safety assessments, incidents, employee training, and regulatory compliance reports.
• Administer workers’ compensation cases, ensuring proper coordination with insurance providers.
• Stay informed on evolving industry regulations and best practices to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in EHS management, particularly in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• In-depth understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures.
• First Aid/CPR certification is preferred; additional EHS-related certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees across all levels.
• Expertise in root cause analysis to identify risks and develop proactive safety solutions.
• Creative problem-solving skills to address unique workplace safety challenges.
• Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail in managing compliance records and safety documentation.
