Job Description

Kinetic Events Staffing is in search of event staff for an upcoming conference taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. from Sunday, May 18th to Thursday, May 22nd. 

This is a great opportunity for those looking to join our roster as Washington D.C. is an active market for us and we will have additional opportunities in 2025 including another conference June 9th-June 11th at the same venue. Our conference in June will also be paying $21/hour and shifts will be 4-12 hours in length per day. 

Job Description 

• This event is a talent development conference and is being held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. 
• Job duties include registration, badge scanning, info desk support, room monitoring, ushering, greeting/directional, swag distribution, and cashiering. Staff will be asked to work in multiple roles during the course of the event. 
• Pay is $23/hour - we pay weekly via direct deposit! 
  
• Parking will be reimbursed up to $10
  
• Staff will need to wear their own black slacks, black button-down shirt, and black professional shoes. 

Shift Dates & Times 

• Limited shifts are available on Sunday, May 18th. 
• Must be fully available Monday, May 19th - Thursday, May 22nd. 

Typical shift timings are as follows:

• Monday, May 19th: 9:15 AM – 4:15 PM
• Tuesday, May 20th: 12:15 PM – 5:45 PM
• Wednesday, May 21st: 9:15 AM – 5:45 PM
• Thursday, May 22nd: 7:15 AM – 2:15 PM

Job Requirements

• Must have a considerable background in front-facing customer service roles. 
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a standard shift (typically 4-12 hours), except during designated rest breaks and meal periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts. 
• Must have proficiency in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Professional demeanor, appearance, and actions while on the job.
• Limited phone use during shifts. 
• Must adhere to all legal regulations and company policies set by Kinetic Events Staffing.

Ideal Candidates

• Previous event or hospitality experience is preferred. 
• Flexible and adaptable as job duties and schedules may change based on client needs. 
• Tech-savvy and willing to learn new tasks and skills. 
• Local to Washington DC area. Kinetic Events/our clients do not provide travel reimbursements.
